Most people over 50 are dehydrated and don't know it. It's not about drinking more — it's about what your body actually absorbs.
"I spent 18 months on chemotherapy for hairy cell leukaemia. I was in emergency three times and there were moments I genuinely didn't know what was coming next. Surviving that changed how I think about everything I put in my body — including something as simple, and as easily overlooked, as the water I drink every day."

My name is Paul. I'm a retired Australian based in Brisbane, and I travel this beautiful country with my partner Steph whenever we get the chance. After 18 months on chemotherapy and three emergency hospital visits, I came out the other side thinking differently about my health — not obsessively, just more deliberately.
Water quality was one of the first things I looked at properly once I was on the other side. What I found surprised me enough that I've spent the years since sharing it with other health-conscious Australians over 50 who want to feel better without overcomplicating things.
I'm not a doctor. I'm someone who's been through something most people haven't, and it changed my priorities completely. This is an honest conversation — no hype, no pressure.

This is a simple pH colour test. On the left, alkaline Kangen water at 9.5 turns deep purple. On the right, ordinary tap water sits closer to neutral. Same test, same drops — the colour tells the story. It's the first thing most people want to see, so here it is.
A pH test at our kitchen bench — Kangen water (left) vs tap water (right).
